Kia Sportage - An Innovative SUV
As one of the first vehicles that Kia brought to the American car market, the Sportage has long been a popular choice among value SUV shoppers. Now in its 3rd generation, the Sportage has crossed the threshold to become not just a great value, but a real competitor in this very crowded field. Of course, in order to challenge the small SUV market, Kia had to continue its record of innovation and improvement - and continue it has.
The Sportage for 2015 follows 2011's radical redesign. While maintaining the vehicle's enhanced good looks, the improvements in styling, features and performance continue unabated. But make no mistake; this player isn't just another pretty face. In fact, the 2015 Sportage offers a more nimble ride and better handling than just about anything in its class.
Kia Sportage Performance
While the standard 2.4 liter engine is adequate for the vehicle's size, the optional turbo-charged version brings 260-horsepower and turns the Sportage into a real performance machine. All models of the Sportage have also undergone a suspension upgrade for 2015 as well. Add to this the six-speed manual or automatic transmission, and the Sportage pulls way ahead of the pack.
Kia offers the Sportage in four trim packages; base, LX, EX and SX. As with other Kia vehicles, even the base model Sportage has standard features that are typically only found on higher end versions of its competitors. Alloy wheels, tilt steering, cruise-control and a trip computer are all standard features. Stepping up to the LX and EX adds things like larger sized alloy wheels, keyless entry, parking sensors, rear-view camera, side mirror turn signals and more.
Features of the Sportage
